Footprints in the Sand (The Real Life Version!)
“One night I dreamed of walking along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
other times there were one set of footprints.
This bothered me because I noticed
that during the low periods of my life,
when I was suffering from
anguish, sorrow or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints.
So I said to the Lord,
“You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you,
You would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during
the most trying periods of my life
there has only been one
set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most,
You have not been there for me?”
The Lord replied,
“Yeah, sorry about that. I would have
loved to have picked you up and given you
huggles, but I’m kind of attempting
to make a champion out of you.
If I keep putting you on my shoulders
Like that ‘Footprints in the Sand’ stuff,
you’ll never grow past being a child.
My aim is to make you a world beater,
a Goliath slayer and a real History Maker.
Get it?
So would it be alright if you stopped
complaining and took it all on the chin …
Thanks.”

Now that is a proper ‘footprints in the sand’. Will be using that in the future if you don’t mind…
Awesome and funny too….

Love it!… This one goes right up there with the Buttprints version… and the one about a beach full of stranded Starfish and a JCB digger!

@ Justin Widdop
Use anything you like as long as you mention me… only kidding! Use anything as long as you pray for me regularly. Keep up the good work!
@ Chris Denham
Yeah. My version of Footprints is definitely closer to the truth than the fluffy version. Keep up the good work Chris. You’re a great preacher and a great pastor too!

Made me laugh (”huggles” especially, but just the whole tone God uses). And think. Love that. Thanks again Dave.
