This series was so powerful that I stole the name, the concept, a bunch of the illustrations and preached it at Goodlife. My wife told me that my preaching was slightly better but there's a good chance that she's biased

Hi Dave, The time was right for me to come across this Critical Eye and I get it. I totally understand the message and have been asking God for guidance for the last 6 months. Thank you very much for writing it. Alex Wragg (Canada)

My church is also a great one... It's Cambridge Community Church, where I am sure you have been a visiting speaker. Steve Campbell has been building up a network of churches as well; it's called 'The Journey'. And a year and a half ago they started a 'School of Theology'... :)
(I got to this via an advert of a C3 church in Amsterdam and then looking through the friends of the pastor's wife, on Facebook...)
P.S. Don't tell Steve Campbell that I sent this message... Please don't!!!

Thanks for this insight Dave into the incorporation of the word of prophecy into meetings. It's good to see the class setting like that, enjoyed it.
Maybe it is never an issue but I wondered how you would deal with a situation where someone who isn't a leader who comes to you and says they have a word from the Lord for the church congregation?

I know a church where the person who has been given the word from the Lord, comes (during the service) to a designated leader (someone who has the gift of prophecy) and tells them the word before being allowed, or not allowed to give it after the worship. In this way there is an authority of leadership that the person had to go through - and the word was judged in this way before it could be given. Did you used to do it like this in Hope City?

God bless in all the work in Sheffield :)

Really helpful... Love the explanation of how to incorporate prophecy in church, but in a way that is cringe free and accessible to new people... Really enjoyed seeing people deliver a prophecy in the class setting... The encouragement to meditate on the word was helpful too. Thank you.
